Designated entry points were provided for individuals with physical limitations. Registration was required for access to any of the activities. Turnout appeared lighter than past years. The annual Susan G. While the move raised eyebrows among some supporters, most of the pink-clad attendees WHYY spoke to said they supported the changes. The Race is one day a year, but for 1 in 8 women and their families, breast cancer is every day. When you donate and fundraise for Komen NYC, you're providing life-saving services to underserved New Yorkers, like mammograms, delivered meals, and transportation to and from appointments. You are also contributing to national research to find the cures. The dollars you raise fund both research and health equity. Together, we are ensuring life is a little easier for women and families in the five boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Westchester, and Rockland.
